In a suprise move, the world reknowned artist Anish Kapoor is to be the guest director for next years Brighton Festival.

The festival said that Kapoor's work will be used as "the catalyst for themes and ideas" for a series of events featuring dance, music, theatre and debate, which will last three weeks. The artist said that Brighton would provide a "unique backdrop" to his work.
