Chinese Culture Day

Sunday the 17 Feb see a day of all things Chinese come to Brighton.

"Enjoy Chinese New Year with a jam-packed day of celebrations in the heart of Brighton. Taking place at the Dome Complex, the menu of events boasts a wide range of free shows and activities for the whole family, including music, dance, and theatre and community choirs. The Corn Exchange will be full to the brim with interesting stalls and tasty Chinese delicacies, plus, you can expect a wide range of ‘have-a-go’ workshops, including brush painting, ribbon dance and lantern making. The whole event will spill onto the streets, when the North Laine area is transformed into a Chinese extravaganza, with vibrant, festive banners, lanterns, Lion dancers and Dragon parades. The finale to the day is a Chinese lantern parade, which will gather in Jubilee Square at 6.30pm before making its way along New Road to Pavilion Gardens for a surprise culmination."
